Get an HRC one, that will be good for a few crashes...

I was at a gas station and the same thing happened. And I've had my bike since March, just was stepping on, and lost my footing on some gravel, little scratch on the cover. and miniscule one on the fairing.

X2. If you think your bike is heavy at 370lbs wet and needed help to get it back up, don't even think of getting an 800lb Harley

Can you point me toward a good cage? I am going to get one of these bikes soon and don't feel like paying for collision/comprehensive and would like to keep it safe.

I assume with these you just have to worry about bar ends/levers if it falls?

...not that I expect it to fall, but crap happens.

Unless the damage is really bad to the stator cover, dont even replace it. You could just sand it down a bit, throw on some high heat paint, and you wont even tell the difference. If you look at my pics you will see mine is black, which is painted, and I think it looks better with my color scheme. I had minor scratches in mine from being tipped over at the gas station. Just my 2 cents tho!

You have to really think about it though if you are getting a cage for your bike, because a cage could do more harm than good in the event of a crash, which in that case a flip is more probable to happen.

Personally I think the cages are for stunts. And even the cage won't save you if something happens to you at 80+ mph.

The bikes can be fixed, riders might not be so easily...

Just get a pair of frame sliders and you'll thank yourself for the small investment. IMO, cages aren't worth the trouble in the unfortunate event of a lowside.
