I'm intersted in a CBR 600F4i. I'm really wanting something a couple of years old. I found a 2002 model here in my hometown for $5,000. It has a new rear tire, rear blinker undertail eliminator kit, scorpion exhaust and a few other odds and ends.

I was wondering if this was a bit much price wise and bike wise for my first bike. I rode dirtbikes when I was a kid but this would indeed be my first street bike.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

this is my first bike, and i love it...i purchased mine two weeks ago...you'll never really have the "need" to get anything else...it's pretty dam fast, handles great, rides well and looks nice...nothing more i can ask for in a bike really...

 

hey, i got an '01 CBR F4i (below) last year with 7,000 miles on it for $5,500 but it was from a shop. $5,000 sounds pretty good for an '02 with 14,000 as long as it's in good condition. good luck man.

Thanks for the input guys. I think I am going to go ahead and get the bike. It's one of the few bikes that has come up for sale here locally and the guy that is selling it rides with some other people on Fridays. Hopefully I'll get the bike and some folks to ride with.

It does have a few minor cosmetic scratches but with it being my first bike, I figure I may add to it. If and when I get it, I'll post some pics.
