Finally got my manuel cam chain tensioner on...

I woke up today cofident and determined to install my manuel cam chain tensioner today. I have a 2002 F4i and it the rattling sound it was making was horrible, I didn't even like driving it because it was so bad. It took me a few hours to do this but finally got it, took it down the road and she sounds great :icon_eddie: on my way back I came to a stop sign and turn on to the road and felt my back tire slip, looked down and gas was spraying all over the place, luckily I didn't go very far so I made it home and realized the gas line under the tank somehow got a hole in it and leaked out all the gas :icon_doh: Quick fix though, I just cut the line down and re connected it. Very happy my bike sounds good now. Turned out to be a good day.

I just did mine today, I had to go to work though so the bike still needs reassembled.

Quick question, how much did you tighten yours? I want to get it right while I'm in there

I just tightend it with my hand till it was snug then held it there with my hand while I turned the bike on so it wouldn't back out , it sounded good so I locked it down and she is good.

you're supposed to turn it in until it no longer makes noise while idling, then only go another 1/4 turn and lock it down. you don't want your cam chain too tight.
