Well i am waiting to hear from a person with a 2002 Cbr F4i 600 with 5k miles. He wants 3999 with a jacket and cover. I am trying to jump on the deal, but cant get ahold of the person. Clean title as well. what you guys think.

Sounds pretty cheap for the mileage... I'd look it over real good and make sure it seems legit and actual mileage and all. If it hasn't been wrecked and the mileage is accurate, and it's in good shape that's a hell of a deal!

 

yeah that is what i was thinking as well, i am telling my self its already sold just so i dont get all hyped up about it. lol

 

i donno man... with that price it looks like hes tryin to get rid of it in a hurry.. i paid 3800 for my 01 F4i with 21,000 miles on it so 100 bucks more doesnt sound right... check it over REALLY good and ask ALOT of questions! ask him like "can i have the guys number from were he bought the bike from?" and ask him alot about how he got the bike and why he is selling it for so cheap.. but if it all checks out to be ok, then you got your self a nice bike thur!

 

I paid 4000 for my 01 in perfect condition, w/ 20000 miles on it, and in southern cali...I thought it was too good to be true but it turned out to be a perfect bike.

 

My bike is an '01. I bought it a little over 3 months ago, with 5100 miles on it, and I got it for $4100. I think when buying a used bike you need to check it out really well anyway, no matter how many miles or the price. Have it inspected. Hope it turns out good for you. Sometimes these kind of deals happen.

 

What are the specific things to look for.?

 

sounds too good to be true but u never know.. first thing i would ask if it has been laid down and how and on which side if it was nad then check it out or better have someone with u that has a knowlege in bikes im not saing that u dont but if someone does know better than u why not???


i got my 02 f4i with 19k for $1500 but it was down.. not bad and i knew thet guy....

 

Take someone with you to play good cop/ bad cop. You need a real AHole to get the best deal. Good deals do happen though. Seems like a good price, but price alone doesn't make a great deal. You have to be comfortable with it in your gut.
