So I'm out adjusting my chain loosen the axle nut and am about to turn the adjuster bolts when I notice that chain side is almost a half a notch ahead of the other side.
So this brings up my question how reliable are these notches? None the less I'm going to use earns advise and look down the chain! "The best way to adjust the left/right on the adjusters is to sight down the chain. It should run true and straight to the front sprocket, no 'stepping'/pointing to one side or the other." |

so.. it looks like your chain has a little bit over 1" of slack. that's fine.
The notches on the swingarm are reliable. They were put on by a machine at the factory that is calibrated much better then your eyes. |
Well I had about 1 3/4" of slack so I tightened it up slightly. Looked down the chain till I felt it was straight and the notches were similar on both sides! Wish I would have done this sooner or at least have looked at the notches to think that something was up.
Thanks for all the help!! |
