fender eliminator kit
with riding season coming up soon where im at, im starting to get my bike all set for the spring. i recently had been looking at a fender elimintor kit, and really dont know any of the brand names when it comes to the motorcycle aftermarket. i found a kit online from competion werkes. i was wondering if anyone had a kit from them, and how well it works, or if anyone has a kit from anyone else. i own a 06 cbr600f4i. any help is appriciated. thanks

RE: fender eliminator kit
i owned a cw fender elim on my 06 f4i but i did the split seat conversion so i sold it. it was great but very pricey for just some metal and hardware. i had just received my new fender eliminator thru a company called Minus 1. still waiting for a good day to put it on. they're alot cheap than competition werkes and i'm looking at them right now and they're really good quality. (black finish too )

when you say install can be tricky, what you mean by that. what are the things that i may have to look out for?

RE: fender eliminator kit
If you can make something out of sheetmetal, then you can make a nice one for under 10 bux. I never fabricated up anything in my life but made one out of sheemetal cause I wanted to keep the hooks on my bike and it turned out great!

I just bought the minus one kit but haven't installed it yet....my garage isn't heated[sm=sigh.gif]. I liked how it came powdercoated.
Be aware with this kit I think they want you to either use a integrated tail light or get after market tail lights with the wire through the stud. I boughtBikemaster tail lights for like $15 from NewEnough. |
