Fairings, how do I know?
Hey everyone,
I was hoping to get a little help on this one. I just bought an '04 f4i and was told by the seller. He had a shop paint the fairings. After posting pics on the sight I was asked how do I like the ebay fairings? This kinda caught me off gaurd. I did some comparing and I see minor differences but still am not sure. Looking close at my fairings you can see what looks like sanding done under the paint and what looks like slight paint bleed on flame edges from tape. Is there a way I can tell for sure what I have?

well i have been talking to one of the ebay sellers and i asked if i can change the flames a little and have no badging on the fairings,
he said
"Yeah we can do a special ordre like that for you. It will cost $15 extra though is that okay?"
hes ebay company is "motofansclub"
but i do see how the front and side fairing have the flames conect unlike all the the different kind on ebay. but never know.

You like the fairings? If so who cares. Ebay or not the sale is a done deal right? If your just wondering if you can brag about it being custom paint to your friends of not sure, look into it, but If it's just a matter of you feeling screwed, you liked it enough to buy the bike so why worry about it now? They are either custom painted OEM fairings that ripped the design and style off from a pair of ebay fairings, or they are ebay fairings, either way, custom one of a kind? Nope.
If however the guy charged you extra citing custom shop painted fairings as part of the reason then hell yeah, I'd be pissed to find out they weren't Check the fairings if you want, either way, the bike looks nice.
