I'm with schultzy, none of these bikes are made for 2up riding persay. If that's a primary concern you should start looking away from the sport rides.

That said, I'd think your RR can handle 2up just as well as an f4i or 636. It's just a matter of what you might want in the RR that the f4i doesn't have. If you want to take a step down in power for some comfort, the f4i seems like the obvious choice. With how little you track it, I'm guessing you can get everything you want out of the f4i performance-wise. (and probably save some money on insurance, if that's a concern)

I own an '04 636, and my roommate has an F4i. I LOVE my 636, but I am 6'2" and 180 pounds. My roommate is 5'9" and 150 pounds.

Point is, the F4i IS more comfortable, but to me it feels too small compared to my 636. One the other hand, my roommate isn't quite at home riding my bike, and enjoys the fit and ride on his F4i.

I have ridden two up on both, and didn't really notice much of a difference in comfort on my end, and the girl on the back is going to not be that comfy either way.

As far as pro's and con's:
- they both have to have their CCT's adjusted regularly(as per the Kawi tick)
- 636 has digi tach and no gas gauge, F4i has analog and gas gauge.
- 03/04 isn't know for transmission problems, that is 05/06 636.
- They are both bullet proof in my opinion

- Aftermarket, I think they are about equal on parts available, but the 636 is SOOO much easier to customize. You can bolt on just about any part from the newer 636's on the 03/04; including wheels, swingarm, forks, brakes, rotors, master cyclinders, etc. To do the same on the F4i is generally not as easy.

Basically, I have the 636 and would buy another before an F4i but you will be happy either way.

What makes you think that bolting up other honda bike parts to an f4i isn't as easy?? there are plenty of guys on here with swingarm/wheel conversions, etc. and +1 to the f4i being more comfortable. i'm the exact same size as you, and the 636 is better in comparison to the r6, or gixxers of that year range, but the f4i is like the family recliner of sport bikes.

If that's true that's retarded. How many adult males only weigh 150lbs? lol
