I may just be stupid but does the f4i come with an undertail from the factory? I’m about to swap my tail and just need to order a tail fairing and possibly an undertail. My questions is do I even need an undertail or can I just throw a fender eliminator on the tail fairing that has a brake light and turn signals?

Yes it has an undertake fitted from factory.

Undertail - prior to cutting to fit Comp Werkes Fender eliminator

If your bike has tail light and turn signals - they're probably attached to the current undertail. Some fender eliminators like the Competition Werkes FE require the undertail to be cut - some replace the whole undertail unit - so it will depend on which one/type you're going to fit.

It's from the battery tray all the way back to the rear mudguard - it's one piece.

I just cut my stock one with a dremel tool and installed a competition werkes fender eliminator and integrate tail light.
