shortened a middle exhaust off a small japanese car (the middle exhaust is straight through unlike the rear exhaust off a car)

would have liked a bigger tip but tried one and it was too loud and when i took it for a test ride there wasnt enough backpressure and had a really bad flatspot down low

That's very interesting...it would make an neat alternate exhaust project for when I don't want the Two Bros hanging off the side.

Post up pics of it once you get the heat shielding on

Let me know when this happens and I'll be glad to take that pipe off your hands!

Unfortunately, if I ever do something like this, it would only be for an occasional change of pace and not necessarily for long term use. I would have to see how it would effect the fairings and what not.

I think it looks good, definitely different, good work. Im a big fan of exhausts like that but i dont think id ever have tried to cut down a car muffler but hey whatever works. I hope youre gonna polish/paint/pretty it up in some way.

Looks fine to me!!, i always wanted to do that but i've seen a video on youtube of an f4i with a similar muffler but its smaller and of course louder. That's why i havent done that, too much noise will make my head to explode.

So your design is quiet or how much loud it is??
