F4I Timing Advance

Hello,
I am running an F4I engine in a micro. I have done a bunch of research online on trying to advance the timing but have come up with nothing. The engine is currently running on methanol so i am being told that i can advance it quite a bit without hurting it. I am wondering if anyone has any input or have seen any mods to advance it?
Thanks!

really only three options i can think of

1 (easy): the ninja star, aka crank reluctor, is how the ecm gets timing reference, so you just need to clock it. the stock one is designed in a way that you can't just move it easily.. so you have to either buy a modified one or machine your own. off-the-shelf ones usually give you 4 degrees of advance. google "f4i ninja star", obviously this advances timing across the board, which is kind of dumb

2 (hard) aftermarket DIS-style ecm with spark control like a megasquirt or whatever, of course then you get fuel mapping control too, and a bunch of other stuff, but you do have to tune the whole thing from scratch

3 (insane) build your own coil driver module with a microcontroller that piggypacks the stock ECM, you could get dwell control too which could be pretty cool
