F4i Shock adjustment options not there

Hey CBR enthousiasts,

Last week i've put what i was told to be an F4i shock on my F2. Now it is a huge improvement and after fiddling with preload adjustment the ride is much better, but i'm confused.

My shock has no, and I do mean 0, adjustment options besides preload. It looks and feels identical to the OEM F4i shock, but without the adjustment options. Is this not F4i, is this a different model year? If anyone would know, greatly appreciated.

I have both an F2 and an F4i, so I was able to compare them and they look 100% identical, same reservoir but without compression screw, same base but without te damper screw. Only preload ring (obviously) on it. Is this a different model year, are there 2 types, i'm confused. Who can help.

Picture to clarify on the way :icon_angel:

Dont mind this solid mounting solution, making a bracket for that.

All f4i shocks looks like your second pic with adjustments. If your has no adjustments its not an F4i shock. The only chance of difference would be in europe, perhaps the non sport model doesn't have adjustments? The sticky in this forum would tell you the answer to that question.

The second pic u see is my own bike too, and that is an CBR600F from 2003 in Europe, so that has adjustment too. I am still unsure, as size is identical, but its not the same shock that much is true.
