Are f4i riders more safety conscious?

I don't like riding jeans, they seem like they'd get too hot, and not be the most functional to actually do anything besides just look like jeans and protect you.
Let me ask another question. Is a squid wave acceptable if the rider is in full gear? Or should they be in "squid gear" to make it acceptable? I think that's a fair question because it pits stupidity vs uneducated.

Jeans provide very limited protection. They'll protect you for the 2-3 seconds they'll last during a serious slide.
That said, i wear jeans for street riding. But on the street, my speed will be +10 the speed limit max. And mine are real blue jeans, like levis. Not the thin designer bullchit. The Carlisle Bike Fest is coming up and if i'm taking my bike there, i'll be hitting revzilla for some kevlar jeans this week.

I can tell that a lot of you people who don't wear jackets or boots or whatnot have never been in a crash or seen a decent one.
Those of you complaining about heat and wearing a t-shirt or shorts in the process, no offense, but you're stupid. Hot weather is an excuse and a dumb one. Proper pants will be decently insulated, and will help with the heat generated from your motorcycle. And when it's as hot as some of you are talking about, riding a bike just acts like a fan in front of a fireplace - it's just pushing you through the hot weather. People in the desert wear full robes - ever wonder why?
They also make amazing hot-weather gear, from textile jackets to water-filled cooling vests to even basic armor to protect the important parts (back, elbows, ribs, etc).
And don't get me started on tennis shoes. Enjoy your ankles popping out of your skin.

I have to agree with you Aken.
But as far as whether F4i riders gear up more than usual.... I think this thread is pointing to no. lol..
Generally, it seems to me that most sportbike riders wear helmets, regardless of the bike, but as for the rest of the gear..... I'd say it's a toss up with regard to bike make/model.

I have been down twice in my 10 years of riding, and thank God they weren't bad wrecks, but road rash is a beeitch !! If it's too hot for gear, it's too hot to ride, atleast thats what I believe in. If I don't wanna deal with being a little uncomfortable at the stop lights on the bike, then I take the cage, and blast the AC. In the past 6 weeks, I have only driven my truck to work 5 days because of the weather (rain), and I work outside in a hotter then hell Ford dealership working over hot cars all day long. Google some pictures of what happens in bike wrecks when your not wearing gear, it's not pretty.
