F4I regulator/rectifier replacement
Hello all,
I recently found my reg/rec to be bad. I know where it s located. However when tracing the harness I can only find where the 3 wires connect to the stator. There is another connector somewhere, but it seems to be located behind the frame rail.
Has anyone swapped their reg/rec with info on this? Is there an easy procedure for accessing the other plug without removing the fuel tank, airbox, throttle bodies etc to reach the connector?
Any help is appreciated.
Gary

There is a 6p black connector as well. It should be there right by the shock. Your wires may be taped and what not but those connects should be relatively close to each other at least they are on the stock setup. Is your RR on the back left subframe? Both connectors are listed as near the same spot. Ill see if I can get some photos.

So I just located my RR on the left side of the sub frame by the rear trunk. So all that is necessary is to take the trunk ferring off and unbolt the rectifier, right. I see two products for sale one with a single black plug and the other with two plugs with separate wires. So it must be that the wiring harness comes up from the stator and one from the battery but each lead could plug into a single piece or separately?
