F4i LED Turn Signal Relay
I ordered an LED turn signal relay off ebay to slow down my hyper-signals. However, when I got to install it, I quickly learn it's NOT plug-and-play. The factory relay only has 2 connectors, but 3 wires.
New relay has 3 connectors... anyone done this before? Anyone care to help? :) This is the relay I bought: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=380320767411 |
Okay... got it...
If anyone else buys the 3 wire relay, as I have done, instead of the 2 wire relay that I should've gotten... this is how to wire it up. https://i113.photobucket.com/albums/...305_160720.jpg PS: The green wire really doesn't matter, but I didn't want it just hanging free so I connected it to the open port and it didn't make any difference, so I left it. |
I'm installing mine soon. Thanks for the heads up.

$13.99 off eBay? superbrightleds.com sells a 2-wire one for $8.95. You can get either the flat connector (plugged right into my OEM wire harness) or the pin connector. Scroll down to the bottom of the page for the motorcycle applications. Electronic LED Flashers
Anyway, it works great. I removed the 4 resistors and extra wires that were taking up some of my limited space under my rear seat storage area. |
The turn signal relay is between the headlights - what did you need to remove from the storage area?
I have a plug and play relay I purchased somewhere (can't remember), but it was like $15 and worked perfectly with no modifications near anywhere else. |
I think he was saying that the resistors were taking up space in his storage area before he switched to the relay.

Ooohhh, right, the blink-correcting resistors installed before the new relay. Don't mind me.
