f4i kill switch not killing engine

any suggestions on where i should check next? i took the kill/throttle housing off..theres two wires from the kill switch, a white/black and an all black. with both connected in the proper spot, the bike starts fine, but when i click it to off, it doesnt kill the engine. i traced the wires to the harness, they seem fine...not sure what else to look for. i need the kill switch to work because im learning how to stunt and i tend to crash alot.

thanks alot

also forgot to say that before it totally quit, i hit it once and it half killed the bike....made it idle veryyyy low but it kept running. after that, any time id hit it, no shut off. unfortunatly when removing the kill switch housing, both wires ripped and i dont have a soldering iron..i checked connections all the way back to the engine shut off relay on the subframe and see nothing out of the ordinary. IF it still does this when i solder the kill switch wires back on, wtf could it be?

I'm not sure exactly how the kill switch works on my F4i, but I know on my dirtbike, the kill switch just grounds out the signal to the coil. The first think I would check in your situation is the ground to the engine or frame. A bad ground could possibly make it half kill it and sometimes not kill it at all...

unless you just went incredible hulk on the wires they were most likely loose or about to fail where you ripped them at. solder it up and let us know :icon_shrug:
