F4i issue fuel pump/ lights

Default F4i issue fuel pump/ lights

turned off my 01 f4i for a quick stop today after a full day of riding and after a bout 2min of talk we was ready to go. well when i turned the key the needel jumped everything lite up and she cranked but wont start.....the fuel pump is not kicking on and the headlights are not comeing on but the gauges read the my highbeams are on still even if i turn them off......im thinking electrical but dont kno where to start ne one have the issue.

bypass the bank angle sensor and see if that fixes it

I'd be checkin the wire harness under your left side fairing, just make sure that connector isn't loose. It could be the BAS but I don't see how that would effect your light switch.

i would be looking at the fuel pump but the light thing tells me its gota be something different are they connected in any way or on the same fuse??

The fuel pump will not prime with a defective BAS or the headlight harness unplugged. Turn the key on and stick your hand inbetween your gauges and your windshield and try wiggling the box you feel. But you'll probably have to take the upper fairing off and checking all the connections and making sure they are solid.

i just had this problem last week to the "T". under the left air duct is the main headlight wiring harness plug. its got a big rubber sleve covering it. just unplug it and plug it back in a few times. if this works then you need to clean/fix the connections in there. mine was from changing my farings. when i plugged it back in it pushed one of the connectors out a little and didn't make contact(green wire to be exact). it caused the exact same issues.

wow that fixed it man, thats weird but thanx u saved me hours of bs
