F4i Front end Swap with 06 RR question - Pics included
Was thinking of swapping out the front end for a 06 RR front.
Heres the pic of what I would be getting. Would this complete the conversion?
Also included:
clip ons w/ grips
oem brake lines
brake reservoir
brake lever
top and bottom triples
clutch cable
rear sprocket
rear axle
mounted Michelin Pilot Power tires with a bunch of life left.
front pads look good

Iv done it with an 07 1000rr front end it's not too hard, I believe with the 600 front it's the same, the neck should be the same width and Height (just check),
You may run into a few problems but they can be overcome, once you put the new front on before you tighten anything or put bars on etc check how much turn you have, with mine it was massively reduced, to fix it you can grind down the steering stoppers bit by bit until you have more turn without hitting the frame with the tubes.
Secondly the bars will probably hit on the air duct covers making it impossible to hold the bars and turn at a stop, I fixed this by getting aftermarket clipons because
Of the way they mount they can be set a little higher, I used all the f4i throttle/grips/brake master etc because the others hit the screen. You need
I used a banjo bolt from a 07 636 to run dual brake lines from the master.
I'm fairly sure your swap will be very similar to mine if your stuck shoot me your questions I'll do my best to help
