F4i Down....Sad day

Always look 4-5 vehicles ahead.. not just the one directly in front of you.
If the brakes are are you first reaction to vehicles or obstacles approaching, there is your first mistake; brakes only reduce the amount of available control of your bike.
The first reaction you need to train yourself is to look for ways around the vehicle or obstacle, close the throttle if need to, but never touch the brakes as your first reaction, even though it is a natural reflex that most people have.

I've been riding on the road for 38 years - riding longer if you take into account dirt time.
About 37 years ago, I was riding with a mate who was on a R90s BMW and me on a 250 Suzuki and I had a near miss.
When we stopped he asked if I was thinking "What if" with regard to situation BEFORE it happened.
What if that person hasn't seen me and pulls out?
What if that person hasn't looked in their mirror and is about to pull in my lane?
What if that person is about to slam on the brakes?
I have used that for the last 37 years and only had 3 minor accidents - all single vehicle and involving speed and a lack of brain power
Think ahead, and keep a sharp eye out for idiots. They are all out to kill you.
Take care.
Cheers, SB
