f4i clutch cable adjustment

its because you need to push the lever arm farther past where it stops being able to be moved by your finger- from there the pressure plates actuate as the springs have too much tension for it to be moved by finger- then the cable and the lever should be tight

How was you able to push it farther?

its been a while but u need to think of it that if you can move it by your finger it is much too loose. the cable allows the pressure of the clutch springs to be moved with ease.

You need to adjust the bottom lock nuts until the clutch cover arm is no longer able to be moved by hand. this is the proper setting for the bottom, at the top end by the lever you just want a few millimeters play. you need play. you do not want to have 0 play.

youll be able to tell if you did it right if you have tension at your clutch lever. if it is able to be moved by hand at the bottom it wont ever be tight no matter how much u adjust the top cable. simple job once i got the concept but i just was confused by instructions online. hope this helps
