Default F4i - Changing Spark Plugs - URGENT!!!

I have removed the radiator following factory recommendation, but I can't pull the inner two plugs because both of them hit the air box above. How am I supposed to pull the plugs out of the socket? Should I remove the air box??? HELP!!!

They will come out, you just have to work them a little bit. It's hard cuz the boots are solid so there isn't much give, but they will come out

BUT

I've done it both ways.... the way the manual states by taking the radiator out, and then the other way from above by taking the airbox out. Much MUCH easier doing it from the top!!

Just pop the tank off, pop the airbox off, and they're right there

yea same here. just remove the air box (its all philip screws) and when taking the ignition coil out, wiggle it a little to get it out. u'll need a universal joint 1/4 or 3/8 drive is fine.

Taking of the tank and airbox is the way to go. I presume you have the Honda plug removal tool (it comes standard in the tool bag).

Changed my plugs out from the top as well. I have extensions & a sparkplug socket, but ended up using the factory tool which worked very well. It's real lightweight so you get a good feel using it and it slips right in there no problem. E-bay sometimes has the full tool kit, but for just the socket, Ron Ayers has it for $10: LINK.
