I didnt really get a good look around inside mine when i swapped LED's...but im assuming there is some sort of micro processor in there, if theres a microprocessor theres a clock(not oh its 12:31 clock, a clock as in clock pulse), if there is..i bet its different on the 636 and f4i..but if its just straight-forward, no cpu or any thing like that, it could be done with some simple signal conditioning.

I've see the back of th 636 cluster... There are alot of prongs for wires... Could be possible that there is one for every function.... If I compare the two wiring diagrams wouldn't I be able to tell that way?

Compare wiring diagrams between the two. I would only attempt it if you could match everything up between the two without any leftover or missing connections. It's possible that the only frequency you have to deal with is from the speed sensor (which could be cured with a speedohealer as Kuroshio mentioned). It's also possible that the internals are different enough that you'd have to change your entire engine electrical system to match the 636.

Personally, I wouldn't attempt it unless A) I could find someone who's done it successful and has a complete write-up, or B) had money to pay for any damage that may be done (crashing your ECU, perhaps).

i like the first parts

as for the second well there arent any write ups lol... and i dont see how the ecu should crash....
