Default F4 vs F4i ?

Wondered if anyone has raced a f4 with there f4i?It seems from a few things I have read up on the them is that the 99 and early 00 f4's made more HP than a 03 f4i.I just was curious if anyone has any info which is faster. Thanks alot

http://motorsports-network.com/HONDA/2001MC/f4i.htm

that's a website that should help you with the specs for both bikes. I have a f4i and like it more than the f4s I have ridden. The fuel injection allows for quicker and more responsive throtle. But my friend raves about his f4 so it is mostly preference. In my opinion go fuel injection whenever you can.

They produce the same HP give or take 2 either way. The big thing is that the F4i is over 50pounds lighter than the F4.

Well, there may be a few pounds difference, but it is darn few. The1987 Hurricane 600 weighs, 38 pounds more than the 2007 600 RR. I doubt if there is as much as 5lbs. difference in weight if even that much. If there is any weight difference, where did they lose it? Since we are looking at the same running gear, frame, most of the fairing and the engine only changed theintake system. In the current Motorcyclist magazine they talked about the whole CBR 600 series. They did say, that the F4i did gain 1 more horse over the F4, but at a cost of midrange. There are pros and cons to both bikes. I am just partial to carbs, since that is all I have ever had and I have NEVER had trouble with them on any bike, that had a clean fuel system.

It takes 1 HP to move 7 lbs, so even a few pounds can make a world of diffrence.

You can't deny that, so I need to go on a diet.

I looked up specs on both and a 01 f4i is 371lbs dry and a 00 f4 is 372lbs dry.

So how can a horse move a 200lb human?
