Engine vibration between 4500 and 6000 rpm?
hi,
i was wondering if anyone could help me out. i just bought a 2001 cbr 600f4i a few weeks ago and when riding b/t 4500 and 6000 rpm's, there is a slight engine vibration, kinda like a little more than a buzz. it doesn't matter what gear, speed or road, it always does it and it's only in that rpm range. the bike has been down before, but not bad though if that means anything.
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Engine vibration between 4500 and 6000 rpm?
I have an '02 CBR which does the same. I was told that the vibration was not significant. Sometimes, if I rev the engine at more than 10k for a couple of seconds, the vibration reduces and the bike rides smoother at least for that ride.
I believe the CBR F4i changes riding modes at around 6000rpm and the real kick comes in only after 6k? Someone please verify this. I think I read it somewhere and hope it's not someone's imagination.

Changes mode? At the most the timing may be bumped or the map changed a touch, but not likely. That 6k hit is the cams coming into their power, even those dont hit on a 600 til around 8k. I dont think there are different "modes" on engine management.
