Engine mounting bolt/slider bolt question

I changed my frame sliders today b/c I broke one the other day and wore down one not too long ago. I was looking at the holes the bolts go into and they seem to go into a hollow area which looks like it is connected to the rest of the motor. I'm wondering if it is in fact connected b/c I had to spray brake cleaner in the holes to clean out the threads b/c they were all gunked up and kept trying to cross thread the bolts. I don't want to have sprayed brake cleaner into the motor and contaminated the oil and not change it. Anybody know if those holes connect w/ the oil?

I'm pretty certain they don't. I've taken those bolts out before (if we're thinking about the same ones, I had a crash cage that attached there) and there was no oil on them. I've left them out for a few days, and no oil leaked out. Based on that, I can't imagine they have any direct access to the oil.

There's no way a mounting bolt would actually open up a hole to the motor. You should be just fine.

Cool guys, thanks. I didn't want to have to change the oil again either since I just did it like 500 miles ago.

It looks like the PO had a mix and match of frame sliders on my bike, one had an aluminum base separate from the puck and the other was a puck w/ an aluminum support collar built in. The puck w/ the collar built in held up and did it's job better. I replaced them w/ blue aluminum woodcrafts I found on ebay for $48. Hopefully I won't be testing them any time soon.
