Electrical problem.. help

I got the bike 2 months ago with a unstandard battery... idk what it was but it was a little bigger than the oem one. Bike started giving me problems with starting. Seemed as if the battery was dying (dimming lights and sometimes just wouldnt turn the crank over)

Went to motorcycle mall...picked up a brand new bettery and the bike was running perfect for 2 months. Started immidiately when the starter button was hit and everything.

Now its giving me the same problem as before + Feels like its loosing the charge for a sec. and then it gets it right back while riding and keeping the throttle stady. It wont start as quickly anymore and sometimes the starter wont even turn over but the next sec. it turns right on...

Any ideas? Ive checked the battery terminals and fuses, they are all good.

do a charging system test..My guess is your stator is beginning to fail.

I hooked up the volt metter to the battery terminals.
I got:
12.7v when off
13.5v idle
14.5v at 3k rpm
10.5v ignition+highbeem.

wheres the stator and what is it?

motorcycle mall? the one in belleville? damn you probably got raped on the price of the battery. sorry, I had to. they raped me on a motorcycle cover. but anyway, I don't know of any f4i's around the area. we gotta go riding

Check all your charging system wiring. If you have a frayed cable or bad connection then current will be reduced which will utimatelly affect the charging cabability. Voltage may read correct but you won't be getting all those little electrons to the battery.

Yes, that sounds like i good idea...my next step.
I rode the bike to bear mountain today (1h ride one way) and it was completely fine so it might be a fried wire or a bad connection.
