Electrical Issue

So I just got a brand new battery and installed it. When I'm in my garage, either before OR after a ride, and I apply the brake lever, the lights dim. It starts right up, but there's clearly a power issue somewhere. Is that an issue with the stator, or the regulator/rectifier?

Does it dim just a little bit? I notice that in my garage. But not when you're moving. It's like in a car with an alternator. IMO if it's just a little dim, that's normal, and mine does that too.

Gotta remember, even though the bikes are designed to work off that battery, it is small. And there are a lot of electrics.

At night I notice my headlights dim if I press the brake lever without giving it gas. I've been told stators are only functional at 3000+ rpm, that explains the dimming at idle.
