Electrical help 01 f4i

Has any one had this problem? My f4i started breaking up and now wont run I have no front lights no blinkers in front and fuel pump does not run. I have a manual and have checked relays fuses etc. All rear lights and blinkers work. The manual indicates there is a 10 amp fuse between the engine stop switch and the ignition can not find it. The next step is checking the ECM does anyone know if this can be checked with out bringing the complete bike to the dealership or has anyone had a similar problem. Also have 12 volts going to engine shut off? Help please Thanks

I've never had to do it, but I've heard there is a procedure for putting the ECM into self test mode. I don't think your problem is the ECM, but I could be wrong considering I don't quite understand your description of "breaking up".

Try checking out this thread: https://cbrforum.com/forum/showthrea...+won%27t+prime

That helped me. Also I had a few wires in my kill switch harness that had bad connectivity. I pulled every wire out of the harness, cleaned up the connectors, made sure the connectors were crimped to the wires good, put it all back together and now it runs great. Hope this helps.

+1 on this. Sounds like a BAS to me as well. Usually when multiple things are going wrong, look for the part where they all meet- in this case the bank angle sensor and that harness sound like the culprit.
