eBay's Manual Cam Chain Tensioner vs. APE
 

Hi guys, just wondering, do any of you have first hand experience with the manual cam chain tensioner on eBay? I wanted to replace mine with the APE but just want some input from you. Thanks.

To answer the Q, No I dont have any personal expierence with off-brand cctls. But it's a simple part I don't see why you would have any issues with it.

That's a 6 day auction and doesnt look like, or state, that it comes with the gasket.

How many of the auto's have ever failed? They are noisy but I dont remeber seeing many if any that have actually failed. Now the honda crf dirtbikes cct suck and fail often, but i stick with the auto on the cbr.

looks just like the APE on i put on mine, i don't see why it wouldn't work. they are just machined aluminum with a bolt running through it

there are ebay CCT's?? looks like a regular APE to me. I bought mines of ebay and ti works fine

Same here. Pretty sure I bought it off that vendor too, and it came with a gasket. Only difference between that one and the APE, is that it's not anodized. Here's a pic of the one on my bike:
