Well I dropped my bike and broke the left mirror and shifter. The question I have is I found this broken piece on the ground that looks like it came off my bike i just can't figure out where it came from. Im attaching a picture.

It's from the bottom of the foot peg. Look at your other side, you'll see where it came from.

 

you don't need it, take off the other side too and throw it away

 

they are foot peg feelers. they touch down before your food peg to let you know your leaning over there. Yes you can get away taking them off but as to wither you need them, that's up to you. Guys its fine to post you opinion but try and add info as to the reason and purpose so he can make his own "informed" opinion.
