Don't know where this hose goes!
 

Ok... today is not my day.

I had to lift the front end gas tank up for awhile for access to the air filter (bike = 2001 600 F4i).
After I was done, I noticed at the bottom of the bike there were 3 hoses not connected to anything.
I checked, and yes these hoses all moved when I lift the front end of the gas tank.

So I'm thinking I must have pulled them out from somewhere when I lifted the frone end of the tank!

I know that 2 of them are the overflow and air tubes... and I believe that they are suppose to "just hang" downward.
But what about the third one???
It's end is frayed a bit, suggesting that it was squeezed into somewhere before I pulled it out.
Or is it suppose to just hang there like the other two??
NOTE: Bike starts up and revs fine without any apparent problems (haven't ridden it like this though just in case)

Can someone check their bike for me and let me know if there are 2 or 3 open-ended hoses at the bottom of their bike.

Ummmm, mine only has 2. What the hell did you do to yours?

No, just kidding. There are supposed to be 3. One is a crankcase vent, the other is a gas overflow hose, and I can't remember what the third one is for.

As far as I remember (quite recently) there are 3 hoses hanging down

The third one is the coolant overflow.

Funny... I jjst looked in the service manual, and looked at a few of the drawings at the front.
Yup 3 hoses!

Ok, out for a ride now!
