Ok i know that there are threads about doing a conversion from04-and uptail to 01-03. But i cant seem to find it. Can someone post a link to it. Cause i really need to know which parts are requred. And also will the side fairing from old style fit the new style 04 and up? this is all about the F4i

 

I am not sure what side fairing you are talking about. I tried looking for the conversion tutorial but could not find it. From what I understand, you need the whole *** end off of a 01-03 f4i. Rear subframe, undertray and any plastics associated with it, the tail fairing, and rider and pillon seats. Probably more, but from what I understand, you dis-assemble the rear of a 01-03 down to the subframe, take the subframe off and put it on the 04-06-06. Then you put back everything else you took off the 01-03.

 

ohh well that does not sound hard maybe just getting parts for it. I was talking about the right side fairing

 

fairing not affected. Only parts that are different are Tail plastic and fender, subframe, passenger footrests, seats and a few odds/ends like fuse box mounting and whatnot. I didnt mount the tailbox lock, dont know how that is set up.
