my theory? theyre coming out w/ anF5!
and that means theyre either waiting till the last second to release it...or theyre going to take a year off the f4i(to allow the hype about the 600RR to die down)...and work on engineering an F5

yeah i wouldn't get your hopes to high for an "F5" most bikes in that class don't get changed too often ie suzuki katana, Yamaha YZF600R (although it was recently replaced by the second gen style R6), and the kawi ZZR600
its not a very competitive class so they really don't have a motivation to put millions ofR&D money into it. Chances are any differences will be purelycosmetic if there are any at all.
that said, it is still a valid market, so they wouldn't be wise to quit making them
also, i would guess the reason they haven't announced it yet is that it isn't a big deal, not really valuable for marketing like the RR
