Alright guys, I've got a question. Well actually I have a two part question. One of the techs I work with and I were kicking ideas around today at lunch. I've got an '01 F4i and he just wrecked his '07 R1 a few months back. We were talking about possibly mounting the engine he has in my bike. He still has all the controls and wiring harness.The first part of thequestion is do ya'll know or know where to find the dimensions on the motors. I'm not so worried about where they mount because we can probably fab something up but I need to know if the R1 motor will even fit inside the frame. The second part of the question is do ya'll know if a RR swing arm will fit on the F4i. I don't really care if it's off a 600 or a 1000. I'm just trying to figure out if there's a swingarm I can use to fab up a custom undertail exhaust. I know this seems like a lot of work to do to and F4i but I just want something different. I'm also thinking about putting a 954 front end on for the inverted forks. I've read a few posts saying that it's a direct bolt in. well ill give u credit if u can do it but its gonna be some serious fab work to get the engine to fit and yes thrr swingarm will fit.

there is people here that have done the 600rr swingarm swap....i think there is a write up on cbrworld.net of what you need and how to do it
