Do the ram air duct covers get in your way?

The only thing that bugs me about the F4i is how close the ram air duct covers are to the handlebar controls. If the clutch and brake levers aren't adjustedway too high then I get my fingers in between the levers and ram air covers when low-speed turning at full steering lock. I've got long arms and long fingers, so I prefer my levers to be rotated pretty far down the bars. Ihave tried to get used to them up where they have to be, but its still a pain in the arse to be letting the clutch out while turning the bars fully to the left, especially with thick cold weather gloves on.

I don't really think anything can be changed so I just deal with it, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has this issue(i.e. complaint).

mine don't, but you ought to ride an 00 - 02' r6. i almost wrecked mine in a medium speed cornerbecause my hand got pinched between the tank and the throttle side clip-on. it was way worse than the F4i.;)

Yeah...when I am doing tight corners my hand runs into the cover...I have been thinking of modifying it.

ALL THE TIME! i am pretty tall and have long arms too, so i am in the same position. my levers are much higher than i would like them to be, but after a while you get use to it. and to be honest, it is A LOT worse on some of my friends bikes that i have ridden. the F4i is definitelymore friendly to bigger riders when compared to some of the other 600s on the market...

why don't you guys just remove it?
i'm putting on clip ons and plan on removing them all together...sure it looks like arse...but that industrial unfinished look is in!

Apparently my 6 foot frame isn't large enough to experience that.

I've only done tight turns like that under 5-10mph. But I do have full use of the clutch/ brake.

The way my parking spot is at work is I have to go around the gate (mc don't get swipe cards, only the cars do)and do an immediate 270° on a 20% grade. That was real fun the first time since I'd adjusted my levers down and ended up pinching my fingers mid-turn.

I've had to set the levers higher than I prefer just so I can make tight turns like that.
