Its really not that bad of a job nate. A Desoldering iron helps out ALOT. Just take your time and all should turn out well.
them SMT leds are tiny though!! Heres a pic when i did mine, one led is attached, another up to the right of it is its unsoldered replacement.

lol. I bring this thread back from imminent doom and you keep posting like nothing ever happened :P. If you don't get a new bike and come up with some things you want me to do to isabelle this could be one of them.

 

If you are talking about how much this project costs?

The LED's are $0.23 each + shipping and you need 12 plus at that price I suggest a couple spares because 2 of mine didnt work when I installed them.

That list is starting to grow, this seems inexpensive too.
And i'm going to look at another bike on Friday that has some real promise.
