^I've never done that :P.

You can flash your lights, I normally have mine on for about 50% of the ride anyways, so they're warm. You really aren't supposed to go from cold to flicking it on and off. It shortens the life of the bulb.

The high beam comes on instantly and is so bright you'll prolly blind the guy your trying to flash lol I would get both.

I have HID's both on low and High beam and if I was to flash the other road user can see the light come on and go off again, thats all they need,

If they dont see it then I would flash again and this time it gets a bit brighter, and so on, until they move or I get bored.

Has anybody installed 55w 8000k lights? Is 55w even recommended, or will it create too much heat inside the housing? Aren't 55w supposed to look more white than 35w?

wizard 12-04-2010 04:51 AM

why ? What are you trying to light up, the Empire State building ?

35watts are **** bright, and anything higher the startup current is going to zap your fuses,

The negatives outweigh any and all positives on going to 55w's. ask around. The balasts aren't as reliable and that is enough reason for me to stick with the 35w's.

Besides I think my 35w 6k's are PLENTY bright. Its awesome.

Good enough for me.
