Default cutting down stock exhaust pipe

Hello friends, I had found a few threads over this topic and decided at the spur of the moment to cut mine down yesterday. I figured I would contribute to the forum and take a few pictures and answer questions on how I did mine. I know I had a few unanswered questions while I was doing it but oh well I did it anyway.

I used a cut-off saw, air grinder with cutting blade, and small mig welder and grinder to do the project.

I ended up cutting about 6-7" off the pipe, and it was almost literally just cutting the 6 inches out and welding the cap back on. I cut the inner cap out of the exhaust with the air grinder. The welding back up was the hardest part. The finished product was after I grinded my welds down halfway smooth. I wasn't real proud of the welding job. That outer housing is awful thin.

The finished product turned out pretty good for an hour job imo. It is wayy deeper than the stock exhaust and a little louder, doesn't scream like an aftermarket pipe though.

Sorry for the mistakes, this is my first time doing this, and hopefully my picture links work. Thanks and have a good day
