I got pics on my cell, but know why to post them on here. I can put them on my facebook though.

I've thought about making a quick how to from the pics I took, but I kept forgetting to snap pics through the whole process.out of like 30 minutes I only got 4 pictures really for step by stepping

I got a writeup right here for ya.
http://home.comcast.net/~nstama/shortyyoshi.html

I cut down on the bottom (after drilling out the rivets) because i used a hacksaw and the cut would be less noticable on the bottom. And reuse the old packing for cripes sake this is a "free mod"... You just have to trim it down to size. If I had the urge to redo it again i would of cut the can down an extra inch or two, but it sounds 10x better than then before the way it is.

i cut the bottom of mine too, but that was mainly to retain the maker's mark on the can. in totally i took just a little over 5.5 inches off the total length.

i just noticed that i do have the pictures in my album

ive got a FMF cut down for sale (no midpipe). $50 shipped and i might have a gloss black/chrome cut down exhaust by tomorrow. I need to finish it up though

The black/chrome one has a midpipe and it fits the FMF too so somebody buy both for $150 shipped midpipe has a small dent from the swingarm.

Sick- Awesome write up man thanks for sharing. I'm trying to resist cutting it down tonight but I want to ride to work tomorrow to bad so looks like it will wait till saturday.

Jay_J - As far as the slit carbon fiber sleeve goes. If you do decide you don't want to cut yours down they sell replacement sleeves on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Motorcycle-Carbon-Fiber-Exhaust-Sleeve-Yoshimura- a little pricey but always a back up option.
