You can get flex pipe like that at any automotive store. Even Canadian tire for my fellow canadians. My question is are the 2 exhausts linked in anyway. If not you will probably have to tune each set of cylinders seperately to overcome the slight differences in backpressure. I could be wrong though. I just know that every bike I have owned with dual exhaust had the 2 sides linked together.

Yes, I have thought of this, the old exhaust went from 4-2-1 in the headers, now it just goes 4-2 and exits through the exhaust, which, depending on how much these pipes restrict flow, means back pressure will probably need some fine tuning, havn't rode it yet so I can't say :/

Still got parts to fab up haha, could be a few weeks

My next question for you is how solid is that left pipe? I mounted the left pipe on my old vfr using a flex pipe because no shops around here would make me a midpipe and the exhaust was not very solid. Usually you have your midpipe and a mounting point holding it in place but with that flex pipe it kind of narrows it down to just the mounting point. My concern is the exhaust moving and the flex pipe hitting the chain when you hit a bump. Id love to see fairings put on that bike to see how it looks.

I'll have to look again, last time I was at Crappy Tire they had a pretty limited selection of exhaust bits.

Its just 2 slip on r-77's and the chrome pipe cut off a bit, i'll get ya pics soon

to answer the question on how solid the pipe is, you would be amazed. Underneath that little clamp is 3 or 4 different exhaust connecting methods. this makes that pipe as solid as the headers they are connected to, and since the flex pipe is at such an angle it actually pushes itself out of the chains way, it all works out

Only thing is trying to get them lined up and level, this takes forever, and actually made it a little less worth mounting the other pipe.

Ya in with the exhaust bits and pieces there should be boxes with flex pipes in them (the colour of the box is white and i think it has blue on it). They come with a muffler clamp as well like pictured in first post.
