yeah i did, but i think that would be a little much. if it were a show bike, then i could see myself doing that. but i ride the bike everyday. the fairings and bolts come off often for maintenance and the likes. and then they'd get scratched up and that would drive me nuts.
piece is primered and ready for paint, guys. going to the store to pick up what i need to start spraying, and then i gotta get crackin on the undertail. more pics by day's end...

OHHHH i see!! I thought you meant entire tail swap aka subframe as well!!
So this is just a plastic swap. Intresting and definitely looks very promising! although subframe looks off now but with it black it's kinda hidden.
I wanna shorten my subframe and tail kinda like this

or put a newer 1krr tail on my bike

na, subframe is hidden still. i used the lower half of the f4i tail to keep all that looking kosher. was a pain, but that's what i love about doing this kind of work. challenging.

UPDATE
UPDATE
no undertail yet. but she fits well and the tail light looks sleek. smoked out, matches the look i'm looking for with the bike. a lot more sanding and touching up, making the undertail, then she gets paint. and i have the grilles for the tail, they'll go in with the final install.
