Current HID Upgrades?

Searched through all the DIY posts and found several older HID posts. With the constantly changing technology, I was wondering what's on the market today for our bikes? I like the improved visibility and would like to do this to my 02 F4i. Any feedback from those who have recently installed? Who's unit? Problems? TIA

I did see the writeup by Sick97SS which was very good. Just trying to cover all the bases and seeing if there were any other options out there. Jeffjones, thanks for the link.

Then you have a different problem as HID's run less wattage then halogens?

+1 on DDM
+1 Lower running wattage, unless you get the bigger (non street legal) ballast.

In Canada technically all aftermarket HID's are illegal projectors or not.
It is illegal to retrofit any different light into your vehicle (ie. Projectors/HID's)

i got the 55w high and low from ddm and my high beam drains my battery too. mine actually popped a fuse not too long ago. i had to go up to a 15amp fuse and now it's all good. visibility is insanely good! i got the 55w 8000 color and they aren't that nasty blue color, just right.
