could it be worth it?

ok, quick question for hte f4i owners. i have a 94 f2 but just found a guy locally who has a 06 f4i that has no front plastics and the universal headlight kit..i havent seen it yet but he said there is approx 11-12k on the bike and its in good shape besides that..he is selling it together with a 96 eclipse that he drives daily for 3500...not sure what other mods the bike or car have on it...but would you say the bike is worht 3500 alone, because i dont really care too much about the car id just sell it again anyways...just thought id get sum input on the situation...going to look at it all tonight...thanks guys!!!

You should def go see it in person.
No front fairings, universal front head-light...sounds alot like he turned it into a stunter.
If thats the case, I'd be a bit more concerned with damaged parts on the motorbike: bent frame, bent forks etc..

And well, 11-12K isen't too bad, although 12K for a relatively new 06' F4i is not great either.
For example, I bough one of my F4i's with under 5K, and it was an 01', close to mint, no scratches, drops or nicks, had her sold to me for $3,300.

I wouldent say that the motorbike alone is worth the $3,500, but I guess with the cage its more of a better deal??

Also, can't you negotiate with the fellow and drop the cage so he lowers the price on just the motorbike?
You stated that you are not very interested in the cage to begin with, maybe you can drop the price to $2,500-3,000??

thats what i was thinking too when he said it didnt have front fairings...i was iffy about it...but i mean if its not all sprocketed up and all beat up it may have just been for cosmetics...idk sum people like that(not this guy tho), im going to look at it tonight to see what the deal is tho...

I'm not saying that he turned it into a stunter for sure, it just seems that way, but like you said, the guy could have just chopped it a bit and turned it into a street-fighter.
Some people are into that, like you mentioned.

I'd recommend you take a look at it yourself for sure.

Good luck, and if you spot a huge rear-sprocket, turn right around and go home, lol. J/K:icon_wink:

No, not worth $3,500 alone in that condition.

lol I'd hate to see what my bike would bring being an 06 with 31,000miles.

Consider what the bike is worth alone and the car alone. If you can sell the car for enough to bring the total outlay of money to what the bike is worth then it might be a good idea.

+1 I dont think its worth that w/o fairings/ 12k isnt bad mileage for a 06 either. Thats 4k a year, 4k a year is a barely rode bike, I put 4k on mine in the summers months alone, and another 4-6k the rest of the year minium!!`Jareds bike is a 05 and has roughly 152k.

WTF did these mileage myths come from?

(Pssst, Jared's is an 04.)

I would be real careful on that..check the title..make certain it matches the vin exactly...and make sure its not a rebuilt title.Probably not...but that sounds abit fishy to me.

only if the car is clean, the bike is worth 2g's tops
