Yeah, with my clutch, if I ever don't shift into a gear 100%, it rattles, knocks around, and makes horrible noises. If it's ever happened you know what I'm talking about. Sounds like I'm missing several gears at once. But I want to know if it's my clutch slipping, or my chain going bad. I want to get to the track next season, but if I'm gonna have to put hundreds into repairs, I won't be able too.

One sign of a clutch going bad is you rip on the throttle, in any gear, the rpm's go up and your bike doesnt' go anywhere. New clutch about 150ish. New oil change 40 ish. Thats if u do it all yourself. I found a clutch on Ebay for 30 bucks out of a wrecked F4i.

I'll scour ebay then, but I rip on it, and it moves right away. It's more for when I don't shift well, and SOMETHING slips, or wheeling

If that is the case i would check your cable first before going to the clutch.. I had a bike that did that and the cable was bad.

if you haven't adjusted your clutch then you probably just need to adjust your lever freeplay to where you have 10mm free at the tip of the lever

your chain does stretch some, but even if it needs to be replaced i doubt it's enough to keep you from doing wheelies
that bad and you'd have to be jumping teeth

hmm. I know my clutch lever is adjusted I just did that. There is no slipping under hard power, or at all in that case. My chain doesn't skip on the sprocket either. IDK!!

adjust the chain and lube it before replacing the clutch. if that doesnt fix it then go after the new clutch.

new clutch isn't 140... you can get just the ebc friction pads for about 85. You don't need the steel disc and those almost never wear out!

and it could possibly be the clutch! I also had issues getting second up but only after the motor warmed up. If I had just started my bike i could get second up no problem... but after awhile second just stopped coming up. No notice in rpm change flooring it so the clutch was still sticking ok for normal riding. But when clutching it up and that instant drop clutch just could not hold. Bike only had 19k miles on it i think at the time...

now clutch can pull in 1-3 gear

Default clutch

i say clutch, mine clutch will be here today. i have about 17K on her and i stand it up all the time by slipping the clutch in second, we and draged raced a week ago and finished it off, will not go anywhere in the high RPM but hold in lower RPM's
clutch is listed as an expendable part..

keep the rubber side down.
