Hey people!

06 CBR600F4i here. Sat for years with bad gas, removed the fuel pump, and found a few concerning things.

1. This white wire has corroded off of this piece (circled in yellow in 2 pictures).
- what is this and can i get a replacement without buying an entire ($500) fuel pump assembly? I see that it is on a bracket that just unbolts.

2. what is this steel scrap metal and where is it supposed to be? If i replace the pump and filter, will i need to jam this back somewhere or can it be removed?

1 is you low fuel sensor.

2 is the prefilter. Just clean it with soap and water and stuff it in the bottom of the assembly.
