Coolant reservoir overflow replacement

Hello guys I'm new to this forum. I have a 2006 CBR 600 F4i and the coolant reservoir overflow is leaking. I'm trying to remove to so I can replace it but I cant seem to figure how. I was hoping somebody here had to replace and help with step guide of some sort.

Any help is greatly appreciated :icon_smile:

they really did cram that thing in there.

you pretty much need to unbolt the rear subframe entirely (the four big bolts) which also involves removing the tail fairing, exhaust hanger, unbolting the tank and propping it up, etc. basically just take the rear end of your bike apart until the subframe (aka seat rail) is laying on your rear tire, and you win.

you shouldn't have to remove any wiring or anything, though, and once the subframe is unbolted, it can pretty much just rest on your rear tire while you work to get that tank replaced.

the service manual recommends removing the ECM and some other wiring, but if you just don't tug and pull on anything, i think you'll be fine....

...disconnect your battery though

I didn't have to unbolt the subframe (except the 1 that goes thru the actual reservoir) but I had my tank and tail fairing off and throttle bodies as well I think

The actual reservoir is only mounted by that 1 bolt w washer and nut. rfesu is right, just start taking off bits until you get enough clearance to get it out
