Default Connecticut Helmet Law

When I visited Hartford I noticed a lot of riders without helmets (99%). Does anyone know if they have a helmet law there?

Yeah there is no helmet law there. Its stupid as hell if you ask me. My crash happend in CT and all the people in the hospital were thanking me for wearing ym hemet. They said they have too many fatality's because of no helmet.

I live in CT. The only law is that all riders must wear eye protection. So when there is a crash, the ME can identify the person by their intact eyes and nothing else. Working for a PD & EMS, I believe the law should be requiring all riders to wear helmets.

nope, the helmet law in CT doesnt require anyone over 18 w/ a M endorsement to wear a helmet, only eye protection...if u have ur permit or are under 18, u must wear a helmet...stupid if you ask me, i see way to many rider around here w/o helmets(mostly cruisers, as i live in the suburbs)
