Default Color Scheme Mods to your Silvr and Blck f4i?

I've suddenly been bitten by the bug to modify my 03 f4i, after having owned it for 8 years... I put the fender eliminator on, I'm blacking out the heel guards (and learned that i'm gonna send out the pegs to get pwdr coated after i found out that i suck hard at painting!)

I'm getting a can, I'd like a shorty, and yeah, i know it doesn't do anything for performance, but i dig the sound, the look, and maybe strip some weight. But I can't pull the trigger because there's too many options.

So, my question, or humble request, is for anyone to post pics of your paint scheme mods. I have the silver and black version, but im sure mods of any OEM scheme would translate (I'm talking tweaks to the original scheme versus a full blown re-do).

If you have pics i would be eternally grateful.

..and, for fear of getting flamed for asking about an over-discussed issue, what slip on to get, any thoughts about that would be welcomed.

Cheers!
Mark

thanks for the pix, man. Your bike looks awesome! I'm not a big fan of the high mount, but i like yours. I think its because of the angle of the mid-pipe? Did you fab that or is it the standard Devil connector? Also, is the Devil real loud? I'm trying to keep some sort of relationship with my neighbors

Lights are cool!

Cheers,
Thats how devils midpipes are, They went out of business due to a greedy owner I believe though.
They are deep but not super loud like D&D.
I personally love the sound

Colored wing shadows are a good start to make something pop on the side fairings.

1068, Shadows for the 2001-2003 F4i

Then depending on the color you pick, you can do other accents. Levers, bolts, stickers, rim stripes, etc. Here's a photo of my bike with a lot of gold accents, maybe it'll give you some ideas:

great link - some cool "easy" graphics that even a guy like me could handle... and there's the thing of it: I'm looking for exactly that, things i can do. I'm sure i could hand over the keys to a shop and let them have at it, but there is just something inherently satisfying about muddling through it yourself, then standing back to admire your work...

i had the same scheme as you too and, like you, wanted to 'tweak' it, so i did the 'i' in yellow instead of red, to compliment my 2bros slip on.

I would suggest putting in the turn signal led. cheap mod that looks good.

Here's a pic of my bike, and btw i really love the sound of my hmf. fairly quiet when idling, but really screams when you crack into it. you get the best of both worlds. lol and this is the best pic i could find at work.

thanks for the pix, fellas.

@pocfoo - what screen is that? I like to get something like the OEM, but dark. Also, was the decal switch easy? Like just the "i" or was it one big decal?

@pittsm - I was thinkin' of the smoke lens turn signals - is yours smoke or clear? I wonder how well the light shows through the smoke lenses?
