Yeah...Out here in Cincy, Ohio a bike parked outside visible and accessible at night I feel like would be gone come sunrise. But hell maybe its that way for all places everyone just wants our Sh*t...I still live at home (I know lame) but i can't part with my bike, nor can i afford to move out! Wish i could have the best of both worlds...oh well...Thats rough though parking that tight in Cali huh? Is it true splitting lanes out there is legal?

Since we're on the topic of lane splitting in cali, is there any page where we riders can get specific details on the laws of lane splitting? I'm in socal and I get a bit nervous lane splitting between a cop at a light. When are we allowed to lane split? Carpool lane split? Speed? Where? Etc... Sorry to steal thread.

55$/mo? That's a lot for just a parking space, my god.
I did a quick google search and found one huge wiki page about lane splitting.
Here is some useful information if you are new to it: http://www.whybike.com/motorcycle5.htm
The wiki page itself: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lane_splitting
Aaaand here are Q&A about cali situation: http://www.laneshare.org/ca.htm

well just keep in mind there's always someone who is jealous (or just mad cuz you got the girl because of the bike )
not to sh*t in your cornflakes, but who is to stop someone from just tipping it and leaving it there.. we all know it doesnt take much to knock it off the stand... campus police suck around my area.
my 2 cents, for what its worth, dont take it there for the all day classes or at least dont consistently park it in the same spot

This is more than half way through the semester, and so far everything is good.
We've got a ton of bikers. It's difficult to find a spot sometimes. Although the weather gets a bit foggy and cold, so some people started switching to the cages.
The most important part is to not over think all of this. Considering all possibilities can just drive you crazy. In such case, just don't get the bike out of garage.
Being careful is what you need. I want to get alarm system on my bike, maybe in a couple of months.
