Clutch Pivot Bolt?

So I was getting off the freeway yesterday just riding around and I noticed that the bolt holding the clutch lever in was coming loose.

Thinking I was lucky, I got home and screwed the bolt in.

Went out for another ride to my friends house on the freeway, and I get off the freeway and the bolt is nowhere to be found!

This is my first bike ('01 CBR600F4i), and I guess there is a nut underneath it to hold it in? I didn't know… and surprisingly, I checked the brake lever too, and it doesn't have a nut underneath it either.

So, looks like I'll be buying some parts this weekend at a local motorcycle shop. Hopefully they have them in stock, but if not, are there any websites that would carry this? Or even a hardware store?

As of now, I just have a zip tie where the hole is to make sure the lever doesn't completely fall off. Lol

And yes, there should be a locknut I believe. Loctite is a good idea for these.

Thank you very much!

Hopefully the motorcycle shop near me carries it!

On mine (03) the brake side has a nut on the underside but the clutch side does NOT.. i had a problem with mine coming out as i pulled the lever in as well, but a little red loctite helped that and solved it in no time :)

also, check bike bandit and motorcycle superstore for the bolts, they will be cheaper than your local shop and will still be OEM part. If youre like me and hate the folks at your local honda shop, you order from online. good luck!

Thanks for the replies you all!

I will take a trip to the local Honda/motorcycle shop this weekend and see what their prices are like, or I might just call up tomorrow during my lunch break at work.

Hopefully they have it in stock because I don't want to have to pay for shipping just for a bolt and nut over the internet lol.
